Brave New World - Film, Lit and the NWO
May 30, 2009
In this installment of "Film, Literature and the New World Order," The Corbett Report explores Aldous Huxley's classic work of science-fiction, Brave New World. Brave New World is a dystopic vision of a nightmare future in which worker drones are engineered from birth to perform slave labour for a world dictatorship. Even more frighteningly, the workers have even been engineered to love their servitude. Most frightening of all, Huxley's own family background and experience might show that Brave New World is not so completely fictional as we would like to believe...

Alex Jones - `Robert Gaylon Ross: The Elite Serial Killers`
Alex is joined by prolific author Robert Gaylon Ross to discuss the assassinations of Lincoln, RFK, JFK and MLK. The history of the Rothschild family and how they bought off England after the battle of Waterloo and their influence in the Napoleonic Wars is also dissected.
In his book Ross tells who the shooters were, where they were standing when they fired their shots, who organized the events, and who wrote the checks to pay the killers of these four fine men. Ross also talks about the astounding testimony of LBJ's former mistress Madeleine Duncan Brown - who before her death asserted that Johnson and other Dallas politicos arranged JFK's assassination the night before it happened.
Obama: "Usual Political Games" Over Sotomayor
May 30, 2009
This week, I nominated Judge Sonia Sotomayor of the U.S. Court of Appeals to replace Justice David Souter, who is retiring after nearly two decades on the Supreme Court. After reviewing many terrific candidates, I am certain that she is the right choice. In fact, there has not been a nominee in several generations who has brought the depth of judicial experience to this job that she offers.
Judge Sotomayors career began when she served as an Assistant District Attorney in New York, prosecuting violent crimes in Americas largest city. After leaving the DAs office, she became a litigator, representing clients in complex international legal disputes. She was appointed to the U.S. District Court, serving six years as a trial judge where she presided over hundreds of cases. And most recently, she has spent eleven years on the U.S. Court of Appeals, our nations second highest court, grappling with some of the most difficult constitutional and legal issues we face as a nation. She has more experience on the federal bench than any incoming Supreme Court Justice in the past 100 years. Quite simply, Judge Sotomayor has a deep familiarity with our judicial system from almost every angle.
And her achievements are all the more impressive when you consider what she had to overcome in order to achieve them. Judge Sotomayor grew up in a housing project in the South Bronx; her parents came to New York from Puerto Rico during the Second World War. Her father was a factory worker with a third grade education; when she was just nine years old, he passed away. Her mother worked six days a week as a nurse to provide for her and her brother, buying the only set of encyclopedias in the neighborhood and sending her children to Catholic school. Thats what made it possible for Judge Sotomayor to attend two of Americas leading universities, graduating at the top of her class at Princeton University, and studying at Yale Law School where she won a prestigious post as an editor of the schools Law Journal.

Conservative Radio Host gets Waterboarded, Lasts 6 Seconds Before Saying It's Torture
It didn't turn out that way. "Mancow," in fact, lasted just six or seven seconds before crying foul. Apparently, the experience went pretty badly -- "Witnesses said Muller thrashed on the table, and even instantly threw the toy cow he was holding as his emergency tool to signify when he wanted the experiment to stop," according to NBC Chicago.
"The average person can take this for 14 seconds," Marine Sergeant Clay South told his audience before he was waterboarded on air. "He's going to wiggle, he's going to scream, he's going to wish he never did this."

Massive Casualties Feared in Nigerian Military Attack on Niger Delta Villages
The Nigerian military has been accused of killing hundreds, maybe thousands, of civilians in the oil-rich Niger Delta. The military offensive began eight days ago but has received little international attention. We go to Nigeria to speak with Denzil Amagbe Kentebe of the Ijaw National Congress. Were also joined by Sandy Cioffi, director of the new documentary Sweet Crude about the Niger Delta. The village of Oporoza, where much of the film was shot, has just been burned down.
- Fight The New World Order
The phrase was used sparingly at the end of the Second World War when describing the plans for the United Nations and Bretton Woods system, in part because of the negative association to the failed League of Nations the phrase would bring. In retrospect however, many commentators have applied the term retroactively to the order put in place by the WWII victors as a "new world order." The most widely discussed application of the phrase of recent times came at the end of the Cold War. Presidents Mikhail Gorbachev and George H.W. Bush used the term to try to define the nature of the post Cold War era, and the spirit of great power cooperation that they hoped might materialize. Gorbachev's initial formulation was wide ranging and idealistic, but his ability to press for it was severely limited by the internal crisis of the Soviet system. Bush's vision was, in comparison, much more circumscribed and realistic, perhaps even instrumental at times, and closely linked to the Gulf War.

Obama Signs Credit Card Reform
May 22, 2009
REMARKS BY THE PRESIDENT AT SIGNING OF THE CREDIT CARD ACCOUNTABILITY, RESPONSIBILITY AND DISCLOSURE ACT
Rose Garden 3:08 P.M. EDT
THE PRESIDENT: Hello, everybody. Please, have a seat -- I'm sorry. It is a great pleasure to have all of you here at the White House on this gorgeous, sunny day. The sun is shining. The birds are singing. Change is in the air. (Laughter.)
This has been a historic week; a week in which we've cast aside some old divisions and put in place new reforms that will reduce our dependence on foreign oil, prevent fraud against homeowners, and save taxpayers money by preventing wasteful government contracts; a week that marks significant progress in the difficult work of changing our policies and transforming our politics.
But the real test of change ultimately is whether it makes a difference in the lives of the American people. That's what matters to me. That's what matters to my administration. That's what matters to the extraordinary collection of members of Congress that are standing with me here, but also who are in the audience. And we're here today because of a bill that will make a big difference: the Credit Card Accountability, Responsibility, and Disclosure Act.
Judy Miller: Gitmo detainees wont radicalize U.S. prisoners
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/30846430/
The hosts of Fox & Friends are convinced that bringing Guantanamo detainees to U.S. prisons would put Americans in danger. The hosts echoed the concerns of FBI Director Robert Mueller that suspected terrorists could radicalize U.S. prisoners.
Fox host Brian Kilmeade pointed to an alleged terror plot that was disrupted by the FBI and New York City officials Wednesday. Where was this plot hatched? In prison. Gitmo is a prison. What are we doing with those guys? Were bringing to our prison to talk to other people — 240 strong — about a potential plot. Convert more to radical Islam, exclaimed Kilmeade.
But former New York Times reporter Judith Miller disagreed. Im sorry. I was actually in a jail with — one floor away from Zacarias Moussaoui. One of the [terrorists]. We know how to do this. Believe me, we can do it, Miller said.

Liz Cheney: Fear of prosecution caused father to speak out
By David Edwards
Liz Cheney told Foxs Sean Hannity that her father decided to speak out after he learned there was a possibility that he could be prosecuted. He certainly did not plan when he left office to be doing this, she said. But I think as we watched in those very first days and weeks after President Obama came into office when he released the memos that lay out for the terrorists — the techniques we used to questions them. Then when he suggested in the Oval Office itself that he would be open the prosecution of former Bush administration officials including many who werent political appointees potentially, you know really, I think, made my dad realize this was just fundamentally wrong. We had to speak out.

Boehner suggests White House approved CIA feud with Pelosi
Boehner suggests White House approved CIA feud with Pelosi
By David Edwards
House Minority Leader John Boehner wants Speaker Nancy Pelosi to produce evidence that the CIA lied about using harsh interrogation techniques or to apologize to the agency. Boehner suspects that the White House approved CIA Director Leon Panetta statement disagreement with Pelosis account briefings about interrogations. Its pretty hard for most of these agencies to make such a public statement without the white house providing some kind of a blessing, Boehner told Foxs Brian Kilmeade.
I dont know that the President was involved in that decision. But, typically, before some agency would make some announcement like that, the White House would sign off. Especially, when it was a letter as hard-hitting as it was and a rebuke to the Speaker of the House, he said.

Big Pharma Front Groups, NAMI? Psychiatry Mental Health
Dr. John Breeding, Ph.D. Psychologists discusses pharmaceutical front groups that pretend to be mental health consumer advocates but receive huge donations and funding from Big Pharma corporations to forward their marketing agenda. Where does NAMI (National Alliance for the Mentally Ill) fit into this picture?
Are these groups really advocating for the people with mental illness or are they there to pressure legislative action in favor making money for the big corporations. Are their anti-stigma campaigns really designed to protect the human rights of the mentally ill or are they there to promote and market treatment? Are they advocating on the behalf of the consumer or are they just pushing drugs?
Sen. Lindsey Graham Debates Himself on Detainee Torture
May 18, 2009
Senator Lindsey Graham was a passionate critic of the Bush Justice attorneys during this past summer's Armed Services Committee hearings on interrogation.
Lately, however, Graham seems to have had second thoughts on the matter. At a recent Judiciary subcommittee hearing investigating the torture memos, Graham mounted a feisty defense of Jay Bybee, John Yoo and the lawyers who provided legal cover for detainee abuse.
This performance sent ANP producer Mike Fritz back to the ANP archives to confirm that this was indeed the same Lindsey Graham we remembered from the summer, and sure enough, it was. As this video reveals, same tie - different message.
