The Jews were responsible for the events of Sept. 11, 2001. So was the mysterious Bildeburger group, the “military-industrial complex,” the Israeli intelligence agency called the Mossad and the contracting company named Halliburton. Using the evil radio-wave emitter in Alaska acronymed HAARP, the reptilian aliens disguised themselves as world leaders and members of the British royal family, and demolished the World Trade Center. Confused yet? So am I.

Conspiracy theories about the events of Sept.11, 2001 are more prevalent than Ohio State fans on the Ohio University campus. Now, I’m not one to judge people, but some of the people who believe in such wacky stories are plain loco. Here’s why.

Our story begins in the 14th century, with a philosopher named William of Ockham. Amongst his wide studies of nature, physics, the Bible and logic, one of his achievements stands apart: Ockham’s Razor. Ockham’s Razor is simple; one of the different interpretations goes, “of equivalent theories or explanations, all other things being equal, the simpler one is to be preferred.” To paraphrase, the theory that requires the least prior assumptions in order to be consistent is to be believed. The Razor is a principle that is applied — with overwhelming success — in everyday, logical, rational life. The people who believe that Zionists, the Mossad, the shape-shifting aliens known as the Ananuki, the Bildeburgers — heck, anyone except disaffected Saudi 20-somethings working for al-Qaeda — either don’t know about or don’t care about the basics of physics, geopolitical happenings and emergency response. They don’t understand that their theories require layers of prior assumptions, such that entire alternate world histories have to be imagined in order for their scenario to work. This is just one of the reasons that 9/11 conspiracy theories are born of ignorance and irrationality. →

Emboldened Survivors Confront Clergy

A crowd of nearly one hundred people besieged the front entrance of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Vancouver last Sunday, chanting "Where are the Children?!" as residential school survivor Rick Lavallee handed a Letter of Demand to a priest after the intended-recipient, Archbishop Raymond Roussin, quickly left town for Mexico.

The Letter, addressed to Roussin, calls on him and the Catholic leaders to disclose the buried location of all the children who died or disappeared in Catholic residential schools. When Rick and other survivors found that Roussin had scurried away, a copy of the Letter was tacked to the front door of the church, and also handed to priest and church rector Glenn Dion.

The event drew a huge media crowd, including every major TV, newspaper and radio in Vancouver, and was even publicized as the main story on the noon hour CBC radio broadcast the previous day.

The financial foundations of the American Century

The ongoing and deepening global financial crisis, nominally triggered in late June 2007 by the sudden collapse of two Bear Sterns hedge funds with excessive exposure to sub-prime mortgages, can best be understood as an essential part of an historical process dating back to the end of the Second World War - the rise and decline of the American Century.

The American Century, proudly proclaimed by Time-Life founder and establishment insider, Henry Luce in a famous 1941 Life magazine editorial, was built on the preeminent role of New York banks and Wall Street investment banks which had by then clearly replaced the City of London as the center of gravity of global finance. Luce's American Century was to be built in a far more calculated manner than the British Empire it replaced. [1]

A then top-secret Council on Foreign Relations postwar planning group, The War & Peace Studies Group, led by Johns Hopkins President and geo-political geographer, Isaiah Bowman, laid out a series of studies designed to lay the foundations of their postwar world, already beginning 1939, well before German tanks had rolled into Poland. The American Empire was to be an empire indeed. But it would not make the fatal mistake of the British or other European empires before, namely to be an empire of open colonial conquest with costly troops in permanent military occupation.

Instead, the American Century would be packaged and sold to the world, above all the emerging countries of Africa, Latin America and Asia, as the guardian of liberty, democracy. It would clothe itself as the foremost advocate of end to colonial rule, a stance which uniquely benefited the only major power without large colonies - namely, the United States. →

What’s Behind the REAL ID Act?

Homeland Security Director Michael Chertoff rated a nationally syndicated article January 16th to plug the REAL ID Act which Bush signed into law on 11 May 2005. The Act mandates standardized state driver’s licenses as the official piece of identification effective 31 December 2009. After that date, non-compliant licenses, or identification cards for non-drivers — will not be valid ID for boarding commercial aircraft, admission to nuclear power plants, or for entry into any other federal or federally-regulated facility. To obtain one of these licenses a person must present proof of identity, verification of Social Security status, proof of residency, and proof of citizenship or legal-alien status. The license or ID card must contain at least four pieces of biometric identification that are machine-readable by all states and the federal government.

Chertoff uses a form of propaganda called “implied truths” in his article. He asks three rhetorical questions: “Should banks cash checks from people who cannot prove who they are? Should parents hire babysitters they know nothing about? Should airlines let passengers on board without validating their identity?”

Of course we all know the answer to those questions but Chertoff doesn’t say the present documents aren’t adequate. Instead he implies inadequacy with another rhetorical question – “But are [the present] documents necessarily reliable?” – and then asks us to consider several facts:

1. Fact: All except one of the 9/11 hijackers carried government ID that helped them board planes and remain in the country illegally. Anyone who has seriously studied the events leading up to 9/11 knows it was the officials who are supposed to examine the IDs that goofed – all the way from a traffic cop issuing a citation to the lack of communication between the CIA and FBI. →

Bush considers Iran to be the leading state sponsor of terror, because Iran is believed to fund Hezbollah in Lebanon and Hamas in the Palestinian ghetto. Hezbollah and Hamas are two organizations that exist because of Israeli aggression against Palestine and Lebanon. The two organizations are branded "terrorist" because they resist Israel’s theft of Palestine and Israel’s designs on southern Lebanon. Both organizations are resistance organizations. They resist Israel’s territorial expansion and this makes them "terrorist." →

When did you realize 911 was a fraud?

It was about 4 months after the events of September 911 that I had a minor emotional breakdown regarding the events in New York that year. After watching the abcfoxnbc corporate owned media video and sound bites over and over ad infniitem I finally broke down crying. I am sure that right about then a good majority of Americans and Canadians felt the same way. We had all seen the constant footage of airplanes flying into buildings. We saw the buildings collapse into their own foot prints. We saw that hole in the middle of the Pentagon.

Within hours of this series of events - we were told that it was those "Terrible Arabs" and Al Quida who were responsible. All the talking heads were instantly pointing the blame at our new nemesis "OSAMA"

Further conditioning provided by a series of Anthrax mail at liberal legislators.

I did not know it - but at that point I had been psychologically defeated. And so had the majority of Americans and Canadians. In that moment lay the success of any psy-op campaign to condition a population. Such psyop campaigns are standard technique use by lettered orgs throughout the Western hemisphere on other populations. This time they had been used on the population of North America.

It was not until about two years later that I had my epiphany. That moment when I know I had been played for a sucker on 911 and that the entire event was a false flag operation - an inside job.It was upon seeing a video of Word Trade Center building 7 collapsing into its own foot prints late in the afternoon long after the collapse of the first two towers. Building 7 is the 47 story tower that came down in its own foot prints in under 7 seconds - but was not hit by anything. Then I saw pictures of that building shortly before its demolition. There were a few fires in a few offices. Certainly not enough to cause a steel and concrete building to collapse into its own foot print in seconds. →

January 14, 2008 – Twenty-five former U.S. military officers have severely criticized the official account of 9/11 and called for a new investigation. They include former commander of U.S. Army Intelligence, Major General Albert Stubblebine, former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense, Col. Ronald D. Ray, two former staff members of the Director of the National Security Agency; Lt. Col. Karen Kwiatkowski, PhD, and Major John M. Newman, PhD, and many others. They are among the rapidly growing number of military and intelligence service veterans, scientists, engineers, and architects challenging the government’s story. The officers’ statements appear below, listed alphabetically.

A Pentagon eye-witness and a former member of the staff of the Director of the National Security Agency, Lt. Col. Karen Kwiatkowski, PhD, U.S. Air Force (ret), is a severe critic of the official account of 9/11. A contributing author to the 2006 book 9/11 and American Empire: Intellectuals Speak Out, she wrote, “I believe the [9/11] Commission failed to deeply examine the topic at hand, failed to apply scientific rigor to its assessment of events leading up to and including 9/11, failed to produce a believable and unbiased summary of what happened, failed to fully examine why it happened, and even failed to include a set of unanswered questions for future research.”

She continued, “It is as a scientist that I have the most trouble with the official government conspiracy theory, mainly because it does not satisfy the rules of probability or physics. The collapses of the World Trade Center buildings clearly violate the laws of probability and physics.”

Col. Kwiatkowski was working in the Pentagon on 9/11 in her capacity as Political-Military Affairs Officer in the Office of the Secretary of Defense when Flight 77 allegedly hit the Pentagon. She wrote, “There was a dearth of visible debris on the relatively unmarked lawn, where I stood only minutes after the impact. Beyond this strange absence of airliner debris, there was no sign of the kind of damage to the Pentagon structure one would expect from the impact of a large airliner. This visible evidence or lack thereof may also have been apparent to the Secretary of Defense [Donald Rumsfeld], who in an unfortunate slip of the tongue referred to the aircraft that slammed into the Pentagon as a ‘missile.’ [7] [Secretary Rumsfeld also publicly referred to Flight 93 as the plane that was "shot down" over Pennsylvania. Military and Intelligence Officers: Your Country Needs You!

If you are a current or former military or intelligence officer, you just may be able to save your country.

Blowing the whistle on a false flag attack is obviously crucial (and see this).

But there's something else you can do to save the country.

What?

Meeting with as many state troopers, marshals, police captains, national guardsmen, soldiers and other folks who would actually be tasked with implementing martial law if and when the powers-that-be decide that velvet-gloved "soft fascism" is no longer working or moving their plans along fast enough.

Many police officers, guardsmen and military personnel are good people who simply don't know what's really going on in America.

As former officers, it is possible that they will respect and look up to you. If you educate them with the most well-documented facts about our country's descent into fascism, then you will be planting vital seeds of truth.

One day, the people you talk to (and those they speak with) just might say "no" if they are asked to carry out illegal orders to imprison, kill or torture Americans simply for exercising their lawful, constitutional rights to criticize the government.

Who knows? By talking to them with respect and truth, they may one day even help to expose the crimes or arrest those criminals who are using their positions within the U.S. government or the defense industry to destroy the nation and line their own pockets (for example, these guys).

Many who deny government complicity in 9/11/01 maintain that some of the best evidence against official involvement in the crime of the century lies in the Bush administration's unbroken record of sheer incompetence, an argument bolstered by the perception that key members of the administration, notably The Commander Guy, spent that entire day running around like headless chickens.

On the contrary, they did no such thing. Rather, the administration was highly competent and enormously successful that day -- they just had different criteria for success than would sane people. And they've been highly competent ever since. You just have to adjust your standards for evaluating success, then view the past six years through the PNAC/neocon lens. Let's review some of their primary accomplishments -- on 9/11 and in the six eternal years since:

* They got the entire world to believe that a ragtag organization called Al Qaeda, fronted by a seriously ill guy in a cave armed with only a laptop and a phone, managed to orchestrate an unbelievably complex plan that had involved years of planning and training, much money, split-second timing and ridiculously good luck. →

Mr. Speaker, I rise to explain my objection to H.Res. 676. I certainly join my colleagues in urging Americans to celebrate the progress this country has made in race relations. However, contrary to the claims of the supporters of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the sponsors of H.Res. 676, the Civil Rights Act of 1964 did not improve race relations or enhance freedom. Instead, the forced integration dictated by the Civil Rights Act of 1964 increased racial tensions while diminishing individual liberty.

The Civil Rights Act of 1964 gave the federal government unprecedented power over the hiring, employee relations, and customer service practices of every business in the country. The result was a massive violation of the rights of private property and contract, which are the bedrocks of free society. The federal government has no legitimate authority to infringe on the rights of private property owners to use their property as they please and to form (or not form) contracts with terms mutually agreeable to all parties. The rights of all private property owners, even those whose actions decent people find abhorrent, must be respected if we are to maintain a free society.

This expansion of federal power was based on an erroneous interpretation of the congressional power to regulate interstate commerce. The framers of the Constitution intended the interstate commerce clause to create a free trade zone among the states, not to give the federal government regulatory power over every business that has any connection with interstate commerce. →

Official Account of 9/11: “Flawed”, “Absurd”, “Totally Inadequate”, “a Cover-up”Eight U.S. State Department veterans have severely criticized the official account of 9/11 and called for a new investigation. “There is no question in my mind, that there is enough evidence to justify a very comprehensive and hard hitting investigation of the kind we have not seen, with subpoenas, general questioning of people, releasing a lot of documents,” said Daniel Ellsberg, PhD, in a 2006 interview with Jack Blood.

Dr. Ellsberg is one of many signers of a petition to reinvestigate 9/11. [2] Best known for leaking the Pentagon Papers to the New York Times in 1971, Dr. Ellsberg is a former U.S. State Department envoy to Viet Nam and Special Assistant to the Assistant Secretary of Defense.

Another State Department critic of the official account of 9/11 is Col. Ann Wright, who said in a 2007 interview with Richard Greene on the Air America Radio Network, “It's incredible some of these things that still are unanswered. The 9/11 Report -- that was totally inadequate. I mean the questions that anybody has after reading that.” →

We looked at each other in stony silence for awhile, like I was going to be shamed into saying something gracious, like, "Okay, I'll buy lunch this one damned time, since it is Christmas and all. So Merry Christmas, you cheap bastard!"

But I didn't. I just looked at him. Obviously sensing that this was getting us nowhere, he asked, "Okay, then what do you think will be the event that causes everyone to, at last, know 'This is it!' and realize that we are freaking doomed like you and I have been saying all these years, and then things really fall apart because the rot has been exposed?" →

Thursday night Rep. Henry Waxman walked into a crowded room of concerned constituents and citizens - after what had reportedly already been a trying day. The longtime and much loved Congressman got a little more than he bargained for. Waxman was met in a small community room at the Westside Pavilion Landmark Theater building in Santa Monica, CA, by more than a hundred people, most of whom appeared to be there to discuss and press for the impeachment of both President Bush and Vice President Cheney.

Waxman’s more than 30-minute speech focussed on health care, corrupt charities, rampant steroid use in major league baseball, and he touched lightly with pride on the fact that Congress had just passed the Whistle Blower Protection Act. He clearly stated with regard to any impeachment bill that his opinion differed from those in the room and that he would not support such hearings nor would he entertain a new 911 investigation because it would look bad for the Democratic Party. When the disagreeing crowd interrupted his speech at that point, Waxman, who was clearly agitated and sounding almost childish said,

"Hey this is not right, the way you are treating me". →

Osama bin Laden: A dead nemesis perpetuated by the US government

Osama bin Laden is dead. The news first came from sources in Afghanistan and Pakistan almost six months ago: the fugitive died in December [2001] and was buried in the mountains of southeast Afghanistan. Pakistan's president, Pervez Musharraf, echoed the information. The remnants of Osama's gang, however, have mostly stayed silent, either to keep Osama's ghost alive or because they have no means of communication.

With an ego the size of Mount Everest, Osama bin Laden would not have, could not have, remained silent for so long if he were still alive. He always liked to take credit even for things he had nothing to do with. Would he remain silent for nine months and not trumpet his own survival? [New York Times. July 11, 2002] →

MORE than five years ago, Congress and President Bush created the 9/11 commission. The goal was to provide the American people with the fullest possible account of the “facts and circumstances relating to the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001” — and to offer recommendations to prevent future attacks. Soon after its creation, the president’s chief of staff directed all executive branch agencies to cooperate with the commission.

The commission’s mandate was sweeping and it explicitly included the intelligence agencies. But the recent revelations that the C.I.A. destroyed videotaped interrogations of Qaeda operatives leads us to conclude that the agency failed to respond to our lawful requests for information about the 9/11 plot.
