Civil rights activists gathered again at President Obama?s campaign headquarters in Minneapolis to protest his signing of the NDAA (National Defense Authorization Act) that among other provisions allows the indefinite detention of US citizens at home or abroad. Many of the protestors were enthusiastic Obama supporters in 2008 and are now lukewarm about support in 2012. ?This is not change we can believe in,? yelled a woman into a microphone outside Obama?s campaign office. ?This isn?t the change I was voting for and is certainly not the stuff we?re going to be suckered in for again.? One of the protestors, a member of WAMM (Women Against Military Madness) spoke to the campaign staff in the office. She reported that they too were concerned about the President?s action. A veteran, grandfather, teacher who had enthusiastically supported Obama in 2008 said, ?If we want the Constitution shredded, we?ll vote the damn Republicans in.?
