Japanese PM quits over US military base row

The Japanese Prime Minister's stepping down after just eight months in office. Yukio Hatoyama's resignation comes after he failed in his bid to move a U.S. military base off the southern island of Okinawa. The PM faced growing pressure from within his own party to resign ahead of elections due in July. Hatoyama is the fourth Japanese Prime Minister to quit in as many years.
