More U.S. troops in Afghanistan?

United States Navy admiral Michael McMullen has said that more troops are needed in order to win the war in Afghanistan. This comes at a time when approval for the war in Afghanistan is at an all time low and recent death toll numbers for U.S. troops have been at an all time high. So how long will the United States continue to invest resources in Afghanistan?
