Linking missile shields

NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen has called for a new partnership with Russia. He said NATO, the US and Russia could combine efforts to work towards a joint missile defense project.

The announcement was made just a day after US President Barack Obama said America is changing its previous plans of building a missile defense shield in Poland and the Czech Republic, and that it is going to create a new missile defense architecture in Europe.
