Dr. Breeding talks about the use of psychiatry with military personnel and veterans.
Drugs are given to soldiers to help block emotional reactions to combat, lower the stress of combat, block pain or even fight off fatigue or lack of sleep.

Once a veteran comes home, psychiatry continues to treat soldiers with drugs for post traumatic stress disorder or PTSD.

However, people take certain combinations of these drugs can experience adverse events such as weight gain, heart problems, psychosis, increased risk of suicide and even death.
