Two strangers enter a bar. The bartender asks them what they would like.
The first man says, "I'll have a bottle of beer," and puts 50 cents down on the counter.
Bartender: "Miller at 50 cents, or Bud at 45 cents?"
First Man: "Bud."
Second Man: "I've have a bottle of beer," he puts 50 cents on the counter. Without asking him, the bartender gives him a Miller.
How did the bartender know what the man wanted?

Answer : He puts down four dimes and two nickels. If he had wanted a Bud he would have put down four dimes and one nickel.
