Dr. John Breeding discusses control as it relates to psychiatry, psychology and the mental health system. Dr. Breeding argues that any therapy or treatment which does not recognize the autonomy of the individual or does not seek to restore self control to the individual is a form of mind control or brain washing.

He also discusses how the mental health system can be used as a means of behavior control and enforcing social normals which exists outside of the criminal justice system.
