Corporate media monopolies a threat

Has the major media become so controlled that they are literally Weapons of Mass Deception? Consider these two quotes by former directors of the CIA and decide for yourself.
"We'll know our disinformation program is complete when everything the American public believes is false," William Casey said at his first staff meeting in 1981.
"The Central Intelligence Agency owns everyone of any significance in the major media," William Colby said.
These statements should give us pause to think. After all, five corporations already control the vast majority of print and broadcast media assets, and corporations are controlled by CEOs at the top. This places enormous power in the hands of five men to determine what information, or disinformation, the American people are exposed to.
Enter Project Mockingbird. This was a CIA operation to influence domestic and foreign media whose activities were made public during the Church Committee investigation in 1975.
Project Mockingbird, in which print and broadcast media players were used for both propaganda and intelligence gathering, was a direct violation of the law. →
